Thomas Irgang

Technical Project Lead · Embedded Software & Linux

Professional Summary

Technical project lead for embedded software and Linux, with over 10 years in automotive software development, from HMI application development through to operating system and platform architecture.

I work in two complementary roles. Hands-on as technical lead for embedded software: Yocto/BitBake build systems, CI/CT/CD infrastructure, open-source qualification and CVE handling for series production, and system-level features such as process isolation and OTA update. And as technical project manager and product owner, accountable for roadmap, backlog, proposal and delivery, leading internationally distributed teams.

The path runs from software engineer through function owner and architect to product owner and project manager. Because I fill both sides myself, I can take a technical concept from design through to a released series product without losing the architecture or the schedule.
